Delhi University Attendance Rules

Here are the official attendance requirements at Delhi University:

Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory as per UGC norms for all DU UG and PG programmes.

Students below 75% are not eligible to appear in end-semester or annual exams.

Each college under DU may have its own internal attendance portal or register.

Condonation of up to 10% may be granted for medical or other genuine reasons by the Principal.

Detention orders are issued by the respective college and cannot be contested at the university level without strong justification.

Practical and tutorial attendance is counted separately from lecture attendance.
