Key Tips for Getting Condonation Approved
Apply early — Don't wait until the last week before exams. Apply as soon as your attendance drops below 75%. Early applications show sincerity.
Use correct documents — Medical certificate must be from a registered doctor with date, stamp, and signature. College/university-issued ID required.
Be polite and precise — Keep the tone respectful. State facts clearly — dates, attendance %, reason. Avoid vague or emotional language.
Get a parent's letter — Some colleges require a parent or guardian letter along with your application. Ask your HOD in advance.
Follow up respectfully — Wait 3–5 days, then politely follow up with your HOD or class coordinator. Don't be aggressive.
Know the threshold — Most universities only condone attendance between 65–74%. Below 65% is usually automatic detention — no condonation possible.
